Known for her intriguing approaches, precise delivery and commanding stage presence, Amira is a graceful and skilled performer who combines strong technical mastery and true passion for her art.

A ground-breaker and innovator, she brings her own unique twist to each performance, both in the traditional and tribal fusion styles. Alongside her signature sword style, the lost art of floor-work remains her specialty.Her focus is the evolution of her art for the 21st century audience while making certain to never lose the roots and rich history that helped form this enrapturing art. This makes for for a potent combination and unique flavor that enraptures audiences and enrichs students alike. She was the personally invited 2013 South African delegate to Belly Dance China

She and her performance ensemble I.H.W have fast become features of the South African belly dance scene; where they are known for their style, grace and passion, alongside the daring choreographic twists and slick routines that are Amira's hallmark as a choreographer. Amira is also the founder and organizer of the Tribalation showcase, SA's first and only gathering hosted specifically for dancers in these styles. In it's fifth year, Tribalation took Tribal bellydance to the mainstream public stage for the first time, at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre. She was also honored as the RaksAfrica's January calendar girl for this contribution to the South African bellydance scene.

Amira and I.H.W are available for performances at throughout Southern Africa and internationally, and Amira can be booked for workshops and tours worldwide.

Amira and IHW have made something truly special out of a function for many large companies and corporations including Standard, Rand Merchant and Absa Banks, Anglo-Platinum, Woolworths, Sasol, Price-Waterhouse-Coopers, Denel Aviation, The S.A Rugby Lions, Peermont Global resorts, South African Breweries and ABI, Nampac, Kraft Foods, Metropolitan Life, The national empowerment companies and Arthur Kaplan Jewelers amoung many other national and international clients.

Some of the large-scale venues at which they have danced include the Baxter theatre, Kyalami Castle, Botawna's Grand Palm Hotel, Zambia's Majestic Casino and the Royal Swazi Sun, the Mt Grace and St George Hotels, the Ampitheatre at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, the Old Parktonian bowling club, the Hellenic and Italian Clubs of South Africa, Emerald and Monte Casinos, The Coca-Cola Dome, Emperor's Palace and Sun City.

In Harem's Way have performed throughout Southern Africa and Europe as performers of choice. They have also had the privilege of performing and headlining in the arts and dance communities, at both the International Oriental Dance Festival and Asmahaan dance seminar in Cape Town, Gauteng's Belly dance Jamboree, the National Belly Dance festival of South Africa, The Middle Eastern Dance Festival of South Africa and the Arts festival of Southern Africa, among others. They were also one of only a small number of troupes asked to present their work alongside the 'princess of Cairo', Liza Laziza, in her Jo'burg gala performance, and were selected to perform with Bellydance Superstars Sharon Kihara, Samantha Emmanuel and Sherri Wheatley in their showcase. They were also the performers of choice at the prestigious Middle Eastern Food festival, sponsored by Emperor's palace and Etihad airways.

It has also been IHW's privilege to be involved in fundraising activities for many charities and needy causes- the Rotary Lions and Ladies Circle, Alley Cat Allies, the East Rand forum for the Elderly, Fairleads Methodist Home, Kitty and Puppy Shelter, the NSPCA, Eventide Red Cross Old Age Home, the S. Baartman centre for abused women and many more.
